The largest constituent of the raw materials used for FAP panels is recycled glass from which expanded glass beads are produced. The addition of special granular materials results in a panel that is both sound-absorbing and fire-resistant.
The standard FAP panels have a size of 1000 x 600 mm and a flat visible side. The panels are available as standard in 2 thicknesses, being 30 mm and 40 mm. Obviously it is possible to produce other formats or provide the visible surface with forms or a relief on request. The basic colour of the FAP panels is light grey coloured through. Other colours are also possible with the application of acoustic paint.
The FAP panels have been thoroughly tested for sound absorption in conformity with ISO 354, where an absorption value of 8 dB(A) can be obtained. With regard to fire safety, various FAP panels have been tested with values of over 1100 degrees (HC curve duration 120 minutes).
All testing is carried out by accredited laboratories.
